Eagle Forged 4340 Steel Crankshaft, Pontiac 400 Main, 2.200" Journal Eagle forged 4340 steel crankshafts offer the maximum strength at an affordable cost. These cranks are made from a non-twist forging, using only certified 4340 steel. Multi-stage heat treated for greater strength, x-rated and sonic tested to ensure quality. All snout, rod, and main journals filet radius are .125" for added strength (requires narrowed bearings). They are fully nitrided for greater longevity and micro-polished to a 3 r.a. or less to maximize bearing life.
